Day 2 brought more sun and more school visits. After a quick check of the bikes, we were off to James Strath where we could see our names on the sign on front of the school as soon as we crested the hill.......talk about motivation.
As the students seen us they began to cheer and clap. It's such a great feeling to hear the cheering and see the kids lined up just waiting to high five the riders.
Lot's of hair dye and shaves at James Strath.
We were then off to St. Catherines where we rocked the school and watched as Sgt. John Ogrodnik and our very own team member Mark Elliott had their heads shaved.
After a quick stop for lunch we were off to Otonabee Valley to meet our special friend Destiny and all her fellow students. It was awesome to see all the hand drawn signs and posters welcoming the team.
We ended up our day at Armour Heights where we were greeted by a group of tiny tots just waiting to give us a personal escort into the gymnasium. Once inside we were greeted with even more cheering and a massive group of head shaves.
