Deb has done an amazing job year after year raising money to support Cancer research. Not only does she organize and help fundraise, she also shaves her head every year to support those living with Cancer.
Chemong Public School does such a great job that we could easily spend
the entire day at the school. We shaved or cut pony tails 56 times today. We also had the following special guest getting their head shaved. S/Sgt Davis of the Peterborough Lakefield Police, and our very own Gerry of the Ontario Provincial Police.
Of course who can't forget our top fundraiser and family spokesperson who has many reasons why he helps the cause.
Our second stop today was Ennismore where we visited St. Martins Catholic School.
Our guest rider today was Shawn Sylvestri from the EMS. Although they built this school on a hill, it's still fun riding there and we love the greeting we get as we are riding down the road. It was even better when we spotted our Special Friend Victoria in the crowd. Cute as a button and doing great !!!!
It was than back on the bikes and off to Lindsay to visit another one of our Special Friends, Tessa at Leslie Frost Public School.
After a great lunch at Subway we rolled into Leslie Frost to cheering students and
Our special guest at Leslie Frost included a number of police officers from both City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service and the Kawartha Lakes O.P.P.
The officer in the picture to the left didn't plan on shaving his head but
he got caught up in the moment and off it came.
Outstanding !!!
Even our newest member of the Pedal For Hope team decided to get caught up in the moment. Her hair didn't come off, but it did change colours as she let Tessa dye it pink !!!
Welcome to the team Ashley !!!
