Today was a quick 60 km day filled with 3 schools.
We started off in Lakefield and rode to Douro where we could here the students from St. Joseph's chantting "5,6,7,8 Cops For Cancer is really great". It was awesome !!!! We are heading back there in June to shave many many heads. Looking forward to it. We had a special guest attend the assembly in Douro, Mary Reynolds, a representative from the Canadian Cancer Society. Watch out Mary, next year your getting the full Pedal For Hope treatment !!!!
Our next stop was Warsaw where we did our show and then were treated to a BBQ by the staff and students. Nothing like fresh BBQ'd hamburgers to keep you cycling along the highway, some riders ever got to taste their hamburgers twice, if you know what I mean. HA HA.
Our final stop was in Hastings where we attended Hastings P.S. It's an awesome feeling when you are riding along the highway, struggling to climb yet another hill and you look up and see so many kids lined up on the side of the road outside their school. That was the case in Hastings and it made that last hill just a little easier.
The Board of Educations around the province must have been worried about flooding because it seems every school is built on top of a hill. HA HA.
Well another day tomorrow, back on the bikes at 7am.
