Week 1 Day 3 - April 23, 2008

Well today we finally left the city of Peterborough and headed onto the county roads. But first we stopped at Edmison Heights where we watched Abbey unselfishly cut her hair to make a wig for cancer patients. But it didn't stop there, Abbey than went on to shave her head bald.

We than met 6 fine young gentlemen at Adam Scott Intermediate who took it upon themselves to raise over $2,000.00 for Pedal For Hope. Great job guys, we really appreciate it !!!!!!

Our next visit was to Chemong Public School in Bridgenorth. We had a couple of head shaves, Retired O.P.P constable Brad Filman & our own team member, Gerry Smith. We also had some ice cream eating and learned our new special friend Cassandra is a champion ice cream eater. The best is yet to come when we return on June 21st for the BIG head shave event.

We wrapped up the day in Omemee, at Scott Young Public School. We met up with our special friend Tessa and she helped us rock the school. The students were pumped as they displayed their intramural school teams. We shaved a couple of O.P.P officers heads and ate a lot of ice cream. They did a awesome job of beating their totals from last year. Way to go !!
