A day of riding, A night of celebrating

Not much riding today, spent the day riding around Campbellford visiting 3 schools.

What was cool though is we had 2 guest riders with us today, Marty Silvestri from the Wolf 101.5 FM and CHEX Television and Sarah Deeth from the Peterborough Examiner.

Marty had ridden with us before so he knew what to expect, but Sarah on the other hand was on her first ride with the team. When she arrived to meet the team it was an interesting site to say the least. A light blue cruiser style bike with a basket on the front and of course a bell.

I have to be honest it was a cool looking bike and even I had to take it for a test ride.

Once we arrived in Campbellford it started at Kent P.S. One of the best things about visiting this school is they have a monster slide in their playground.

Our second stop was a huge ride from Kent P.S to St. Mary's, okay okay, it is across the street.

Our third stop of the day was at Hillcrest P.S where I realized that there are some people out there that actually read my blogs. It was very much apparent when I walked in the school and they had designed a bulitin board covered with cool stuff from our web site, including my blogs. So just for the kids at Hillcrest P.S........"YOU ROCK !!!!!!"

We ended the day by driving back to Peterborough to do a show at Queen Elizabeth P.S. They couldn't squeeze us in when we toured thru Peterborough so we decided to make a special trip in to see them.

We made Sarah an honourary member of the team by throwing her into the show. Not as the bear, not as the cowgirl, not as the member who picks the kids for ice cream....no,no,no, we let her eat ice cream, handcuffed, and getting some 'helping hands' from Keith. I don't think she actually ate any ice cream, that would have needed Keith to actually get the ice cream in her mouth instead of everywhere else. She was a trooper, no complaints, she fit right in.

Although the schools were done for the day, the team was not. We still had to get ready for our Mid Life Crisis concert at the Junction.......no sleep for the team yet.
