| The weather was definitely dryer today but still very cold. We arrived in Wilberforce today around 9am to 65 screaming students. They are small but mighty. Even the smallest school on the tour still manages to dig down deep and raise funds to find a cure. Our lovely team member Lindsey decided to change things up on us by forgetting to bring the ice cream, but thanks to a quick stop at the local grocery store our ice cream champ was quickly transformed into the pudding champion. The tour than headed down the highway to Apsely P.S where we had fun with the students and teachers. We missed our favorite radio personality's wife due to an illness, or maybe she was hiding from the ice cream punishment she received last year. Either way we wish her a speedy recovery. After Apsley it was off to Buckhorn where we met all the great kids at Buckhorn P.S. They were pumped when we arrived and even worse when we left. Good thing it was near the end of the day. I do not know how the teachers would ever get them to concentrate on school work after we have been there. Overall it was a great day, very cold but the team managed to survive. |
